For the A&CCESS Card Collection, Rochester City Ballet has provided this Tim Leverett photo of its performers.
The Rochester City Ballet is proud to provide Rochester and its surrounding communities with opportunities for dance education through the visual enjoyment of our performances. RCB regularly performs for local organizations in fundraising opportunities, community outreach, arts education and exhibitions.
Most recently, the Rochester City Ballet has performed at the Sonnenberg Gardens and Thompson Health Gala, exhibition openings at the Memorial Art Gallery including the Memorial Art Gallery Degas Gala and Degas at the Memorial Art Gallery Family Day, the Clothesline Arts Festival, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Barnes & Noble lecture demonstrations and other events.
Expanding its outreach to include the global community, Mr. Timothy Draper, founder of the Rochester City Ballet, was invited to take part in a panel discussion at the United States International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. Jim Nowakowski, RCB company member, was invited to and attended a ballet festival of stars in the Ukraine. While there, he, along with local high school students, participated in a group discussion focusing on the impact of the arts on young people worldwide.
Rochester City Ballet strives to extend its involvement with the local community— as well as continues to explore new options to bring the beauty of dance to all interested audience members worldwide.
